As part of a dedicated educational team, you will provide essential mental health services to students with mild to moderate, affective needs, and significant support requirements, helping them thrive academically and personally.
Key Qualifications:
Holds a valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with a School Counselor Endorsement Prior experience in schools as a Social Worker or School Psychologist is highly desirable Familiarity with or experience in Special Education (SPED) settings strongly preferred Comfortable serving students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with varying service minutes Able to fulfill time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district contract packet completion before starting
Responsibilities:
Deliver mental health support and social work services to high school students, focusing on those with affective and significant support needs Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to develop tailored interventions and support plans Maintain accurate documentation and service logs in compliance with school and district expectations Contribute to IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing progress monitoring as part of the special education team Serve as an on-site resource and advocate for student well-being throughout the school year
