CORNERSTONE CARES
(in-home) and School-Based Behavioral Health Services programs. This is a non-clinical administrative role focused on helping referrals move efficiently from initial contact to services. The Coordinator will work closely with families, schools, clinicians, referral partners, and internal teams to manage referrals, collect required documentation, verify insurance, support scheduling and clinician assignments, and maintain accurate program tracking. Key Responsibilities Receive, track, and coordinate incoming referrals for community-based and school-based programs. Contact parents and guardians to obtain intake forms, consents, insurance information, custody documentation, and Releases of Information. Verify Medicaid and commercial insurance eligibility, behavioral health benefits, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements. Communicate referral status and next steps with families, schools, clinicians, and referral partners. Maintain referral trackers, documentation, clinician capacity information, waitlists, and program assignments. Support scheduling, follow-up, and clinician assignment processes. Track referral volume, referral sources, payer information, service locations, barriers, and other program data. Identify missing documentation, delays, capacity concerns, or urgent issues and escalate them appropriately. Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and privacy requirements. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare administration, intake, insurance verification, program coordination, school-based services, or a related field. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through. Experience managing referrals, documentation, deadlines, and multiple priorities. Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance verification preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with families, schools, clinicians, healthcare providers, and community partners. Proficiency with EHR systems, spreadsheets, email, payer portals, and administrative technology. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
