School of Nursing Student Service Coordinator (Full-time)

Job Description

Position Summary Larkin School of Nursing invites applications for a Student Advisor position. The successful candidate will be pivotal in providing comprehensive academic advising, overseeing student progress, and supporting nursing students through their educational journey and into their professional careers. Key Responsibilities Academic Advising Provides accurate and timely academic advising to nursing students. Assists students in understanding program requirements, course selection, and scheduling. Monitors student academic progress and implements interventions as needed. Maintains accurate and confidential student files. Generates accurate transcripts and academic records. Collects all required documentation to complete student files. Career Counseling and Licensure Support Assists graduates with the
RN NCLEX
application process. Provides resources and guidance for licensure examination preparation. Offers guidance on career options and opportunities within the nursing field. Compliance and Accreditation Ensures student information and files comply with accrediting body standards. Participates actively in accreditation reporting and documentation. Student Development and Support Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Effectively liaises between students, faculty, and staff. Engages in continuous learning related to student services and advising. Plans and implements orientation sessions and workshops. Oversees student organizations and activities related to the nursing program. Administrative and Organizational Skills Shows strong time-management and organizational skills. Manages multiple tasks effectively and meets set deadlines. Takes initiative in developing resources and strategies for student development. Uses student information systems and office software efficiently. Diversity and Inclusion Promotes and supports a diverse educational environment. Addresses student needs with empathy and cultural competence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing, Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in academic coordination or nursing education preferred. Proficiency in student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of nursing education curriculum and career pathways.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 5:30PM
