190-210 Days (Position subject to availability of Federal Funds) Position Summary The Title I Parent and Family Engagement Liaison serves as the primary link between the school district, families, and the community to strengthen partnerships that support student academic achievement. The liaison coordinates and implements the district's Title I Parent and Family Engagement Program in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), ensuring meaningful opportunities for parents and families to participate in their children's education. Parent and Family Engagement Develop, coordinate, and implement the district's Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan. Organize districtwide and school-level parent engagement activities. Coordinate the Annual Title I Parent Meeting and other required meetings. Assist schools with School Parent and Family Engagement Plans and School-Parent Compacts. Promote meaningful parent participation in school improvement efforts. Parent Education and Capacity Building Plan workshops on literacy, mathematics, technology, homework strategies, attendance, and college and career readiness. Coordinate family literacy, STEM, and academic engagement events. Provide instructional materials and learning resources for home use. Communication Maintain regular communication with families. Prepare newsletters, flyers, social media updates, and family communications. Ensure communications are accessible and understandable to all families. Community Partnerships Develop partnerships with community organizations and agencies. Coordinate referrals and maintain a directory of community resources. Compliance and Documentation Maintain required Title I documentation including agendas, sign-in sheets, evaluations, photos, and meeting minutes. Assist with annual evaluations and federal monitoring. Monitor Parent and Family Engagement expenditures. Collaboration Collaborate with principals, teachers, counselors, instructional staff, and district leaders. Participate in district committees and leadership meetings. Data and Evaluation Analyze parent participation data. Identify barriers to participation and recommend improvement strategies. Prepare reports for district leadership. Technology Support Assist families with parent portals and online learning platforms. Provide technology training as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Title I and ESSA requirements. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to analyze data and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma required; degree preferred. Experience working with families, schools, or community organizations preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with federally funded programs. Bilingual skills preferred based on district needs. Experience conducting parent workshops. Performance Indicators Increased parent participation. Successful Title I compliance. Positive family feedback. Strong community partnerships.
