Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work (SSW) endorsement is required Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially working with high school age students Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning initiatives Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and independently
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling for high school students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs Assess, address, and monitor student needs; develop intervention strategies and support plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure holistic support for students Serve as a liaison connecting families with community and mental health resources as appropriate Document services, maintain case records, and comply with all reporting and confidentiality standards Proactively support positive school culture and respond effectively to crisis situations and immediate student concerns This full-time contract runs from August 10 through September 30, giving you a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical transition period for the school.
