Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid state license or certification as a School Social Worker Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred Demonstrated ability to support students from diverse backgrounds Effective communication, advocacy, and teamwork skills Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to confidentiality
Responsibilities:
Assess students' emotional, social, and academic needs through individual and group sessions Develop and implement intervention plans based on assessments and collaboration with educators and families Provide crisis intervention and counseling to students experiencing difficulties Connect students and families with community resources and support services as needed Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and related documentation Serve as a liaison between home, school, and local agencies to ensure all-around support for students Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through advocacy and the development of social-emotional learning programs
