The Weekend Testing Coordinator supports the district's weekend testing program, with primary responsibility for ACT and SAT special testing administrations and backup responsibility for National ACT and SAT testing. The Coordinator also supports district testing events, including 8th grade placement testing and 6th grade Township assessments. The Coordinator ensures that testing is well organized for students and administered in accordance with the requirements established by the respective testing agencies. This work involves close interaction with students, parents, and staff and requires discretion, initiative, independent judgment, and knowledge of current testing procedures and requirements.
Qualifications:
Ability to learn current national and local testing requirements; as well as the proper conditions, practices and procedures for testing. Ability to perform detailed work accurately, and to initiate and maintain necessary follow-up with the Testing Manager. Ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to present training for test proctors. Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and distinctly with staff, students, parents and others. Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with unique problems and situations. Positive attitude and capacity to project a positive image of the district to staff and others. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding student information. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured environment.
Position Expectations:
Serves as Test Coordinator for ACT and SAT special testing administrations. Serves as site Testing Co-Coordinator for approximately 12-15 weekends during the school year. Serves as a backup Test Coordinator for National ACT and SAT testing, maintaining the knowledge and preparation necessary to assume primary coordinator responsibilities when needed. Supports the Lead Weekend Testing Coordinator with 8th grade placement testing and 6th grade Township assessments. Trains and supervises test proctors assigned to weekend testing and resolves problems as non-routine situations arise. Coordinates with the Testing Manager to ensure that staffing, materials, facilities, accommodations, and other testing needs are addressed for assigned testing dates. Ensures security and validity of the testing process, including investigating and reporting test improprieties
