DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY
Position Purpose Yorkville District 115 is seeking a Family Liaison for the Early Childhood Program. We are seeking to hire a certified individual who maintains a positive attitude in the work environment, collaborative, models continuous improvement, lifelong learning, has a strong understanding of the Preschool for All grant family engagement compliance indicators, child development in young children, special education, creates positive relationships with families staff and goes above and beyond to ensure student success . We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our district in becoming exemplar as it relates to seeking and implementing strategies for improving student achievement and growth for all students. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY
Yorkville CUSD has an opening for a full time 1.0 FTE Early Childhood Family Liaison. This person will create a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment for staff, students and families. In accordance with the mission, vision and goals of the program and district, successful candidates are able to provide meaningful feedback to staff, parents and administrators and facilitate growth of staff. Prior Early Childhood experience preferred Strong understanding of child development and special education required Regionally competitive salary funded by the Preschool for All grant Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Essential Performance Responsibilities Serves as a school leader and model of best student-focused early childhood practices. Coordinates and uses effective communication skills with program administrators, teachers, families, teams, partner organizations and the district administrators to ensure consistency in coaching practices. Collaborate with cross departments throughout the district including the Student Services, the Multilingual/EL, and the Technology departments to help school teams and families have access to the best instructional practices to support all students and their families. Continuously seeks feedback and imbeds into practice to ensure best early childhood practices at home. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings with teams. Develops and evaluates early childhood family engagement calendar, including daytime family events and evening learning opportunities for families. Selects appropriate books, instructional aides, and other supplies and equipment to ensure best practices at home. Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field. Engages in the student school-wide data to determine family involvement needs. Support the home visit process. Coordinate early childhood screenings with school teams. Support the transition from Early Intervention and screening to the classroom. Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by Administration.

Qualifications/Skills Illinois Professional Educator License with Early Childhood (Birth to Grade 3, or Birth to Grade 2) and LBS1 with Pre-K or Early Childhood Special Education approval required Strong understanding of special education required Illinois English Language Learner (ELL) endorsement preferred Prior Early Childhood experience preferred Experience collaborating with families preferred
Starting Salary:
