The School of Social Work has both a thriving BSW and MSW program. Current total enrollment is approximately 550. Our programs are staffed by 16 full time faculty, more than 15 part time faculty, three field education specialists and two administrators. Our programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Essential Duties:
The School of Social Work at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part Time Faculty who are enthusiastic teachers, dedicated to working with undergraduates and graduates for the fall 2026 and/or spring semester.
Candidates must:
demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities. Utilize an equity- minded framework to prepare lesson plans that incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourage student success to all students regardless of race.
Specific course offerings include:
Teaching up to 11 credits per semester in both/either the BSW and MSW programs as assigned by the School of Social Work chairperson.
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications are: 1. A masters degree in social work or a related field 2. At least 2 yrs post MSW experience 3. Ability to use technology effectively in online and in-person teaching, and learning designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. MSW degree and LICSW 2. Teaching experience in a BSW or MSW program Special Conditions for
