Description Location:

Lawrence, MA

  • Peer Recovery Program Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00am
  • 6:00pm but may require one evening (3:00pm
  • 8:00pm) and a weekend shift Saturday or Sunday (9:00am
  • 3:00pm) Pay rate: $17.00
  • 19.

Discounts on wide array of services/entertainment nationwide The Peer Coordinator is responsible for: Recruiting volunteers for the Recovery Center and provides pre-service orientation and training to peer volunteers.

Working closely with peer volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate program activities.

Overseeing work performed by peer volunteers.

Helping facilitate volunteer committees.

Providing recovery coaching to participants.

Performing case management activities regarding initial housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, education, etc.

Coordinating continuing recovery referrals including scheduling of initial appointments.

Qualifications Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

One year of experience in substance addiction program preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred

Must have a driver's license & vehicle

Must attend a full week training (Recovery Coach Academy)

Must display the use of appropriate independent judgement to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.

Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.

Weekends and night shift may be required.
