As a school-based social worker, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs—ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid and current licensure to practice as a Social Worker in the state Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred Strong understanding of child and adolescent development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students Provide individual and group counseling to students facing various challenges Work closely with teachers and administration to implement effective support strategies Collaborate with families to identify resources and coordinate services Develop and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) and other student support initiatives Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in accordance with school policies Make a lasting difference in the lives of students while advancing your career in a rewarding, school-based role.
