The ideal candidate will support students through educational planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing collaboration with school staff to ensure students receive appropriate services and interventions.

Responsibilities:

Participate in Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings and assist with the ongoing review of student strategies and interventions. Monitor the effectiveness of strategies and help determine when updates or adjustments are needed. Complete Crisis Intervention and Prevention training and utilize appropriate techniques to de-escalate students experiencing physically or emotionally aggressive behaviors. Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and other members of the student support team. Provide social work services and support to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially. Accurately document and bill for eligible services through the county Medicaid system.

Requirements:

Michigan School Social Worker Certification Michigan Social Worker License:

LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW Compensation for this position ranges from $45/hr to $52/hr. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
