This full-time contract position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering 35 hours per week of dedicated, onsite involvement. The school district values collaboration and is receptive to your input regarding caseload preferences, ensuring the role aligns with your strengths and interests.
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid Michigan Social Work license required Prior experience as a School Social Worker (elementary, middle, or high school) preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Deep understanding of behavioral health, crisis intervention, and family systems Ability to work onsite for the duration of the contract Flexibility and willingness to adapt caseload as discussed during the interview
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver social, emotional, and behavioral support to students in individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies Conduct assessments, provide referrals, and coordinate services for students and families Support positive academic and social outcomes through crisis management and resource connection Maintain detailed records in compliance with confidentiality and legal standards Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed
