Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives while using your expertise as a School Social Worker! A dynamic school district near Quincy, Michigan is seeking a passionate professional to support students and staff for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek. In this highly collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to set preferences for your student caseload, ensuring you work where your skills and interests align best. You'll play a vital role in fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere, helping students address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
What We're Looking For:
Active Michigan School Social Worker license (LMSW, LLMSW, or recognized equivalent) Prior experience as a School Social Worker preferred Strong communication, organization, and empathy skills Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and staff Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Comfortable working onsite in a school environment through the contract duration
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing assessments, interventions, and resources for students' academic and emotional needs Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators on student support plans Consultations and support for families, connecting them with community resources as needed Maintaining documentation and case records per district and licensure standards Participating in student support team meetings and IEP development, as appropriate Enjoy the satisfaction of helping students thrive and grow while working in an environment that respects your expertise and flexibility.
