and after-school child care program at Violet Elementary School.
The Team Leader assists in maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging environment for participating students while supporting program operations and compliance with district and state requirements. Responsibilities Maintain accurate counts of students attending SACC and communicate with the SACC Program Director to ensure a safe environment and compliance with state requirements Administer first aid to children as necessary to address immediate health care needs Organize and supervise indoor and outdoor activities to provide a safe and engaging environment for children Perform required record keeping (e.g., accident reports, behavior observations) to fulfill program requirements Receive and release children directly to parents or authorized designees while maintaining accurate sign-in and sign-out records Refer disciplinary concerns to parents, the program supervisor, or the building administrator as appropriate to maintain a safe and orderly environment Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure consistent delivery of services Occasionally assist other personnel to support completion of program activities Collaborate with the Interim Child Care Programming & Safety Supervisor to develop daily and weekly activity plans Attend required trainings, meetings, and other program functions that may occur outside of scheduled work hours Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Coordinator Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Must be certified, or become certified, in Infant/Child & Adult CPR and First Aid Ability to follow oral and written directions Ability to work collaboratively with peers, supervisors, school personnel, and students Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when working with student, staff, and parent information Must attend orientation and required training sessions Must complete all required district and state credentialing requirements, including background check and fingerprinting Travel Requirements This position is based at Violet Elementary School; no regular travel between buildings is required. Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to approximately 50 pounds; other physical activities may be required Vocal communication required to express or exchange ideas; hearing required to perceive information at normal spoken levels Visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining accuracy of work, and observing surroundings and activities Ability to occasionally work in conditions below 32 degrees Daily personal and close contact with children Regular contact with staff members and building administrators Method of Application Bargaining unit members will be given priority consideration.
