CFSS/PCA/ Homemaking Job Responsibilities:
Enables patients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient conditions, providing support and personal services, and teaching families. Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise. Able to assist with OT & Speech Therapy Supports patients by providing daily assistance living activities. Assists patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming. Helps patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene. Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying the nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following DHS standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed requirements and standards. Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred State of MN mandated certification within 2 months of hire Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors Must be over 18 years old Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship Must be able to pass a criminal background check Relocation is not offered for this position If Peaceful Care is of interest to you, please visit our website career page to apply online: https://peacefulcare.com/careers as this will be a requirement for hire due to state requirements. This position is 35 hours per week. The position is located in Blaine, MN and the hours are from 11 a.m. -6 p.m., Monday - Friday. Hours change to 25 hours per Monday-Friday after September 6th from 1:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m.
