Mercer County Youth Bureau Mercer County ND Full-time, Exempt Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth and Families The Mercer County Youth Bureau is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed social worker to join our team. The position provides direct services to children, adolescents, and families throughout Mercer County while working collaboratively with schools, law enforcement, juvenile courts, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive case management services to youth and families
Conduct assessments to identify client strengths, needs, and risks, and appropriate interventions.
Develop individualized service plans and monitor client progress toward identified goals.
Provide brief, strength-based counseling and supportive interventions within the social work scope of practice.
Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services for youth and families
Advocate for youth and families to ensure access to appropriate services and community resources.
Maintain accurate case documentation, reports, and statistical data.
Facilitate referrals to community resources and specialty behavior services.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborative case planning.
Assist with prevention programming, educational presentations, and community outreach activities.
Maintain confidentiality and practice in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics and ND licensing requirements.
Participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours crisis response and support. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited program
Current ND Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in good standing.
Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel throughout Mercer County.
Strong, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload.
Must reside in Mercer County. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
Knowledge of juvenile justice, school systems, behavioral health, child welfare, or community-based social services.
Experience providing crisis intervention, case management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Experience with community outreach, prevention programming, or group facilitation is desirable.
