The Social Worker must adhere to professional standards, ethics, and Durand Inc.'s philosophies, policies, and procedures. Some outside school activities may be required. Responsible for developing and implementing child and family support programs from referral through case termination. Durand Inc. serves individuals with disabilities who may experience emotional and behavioral challenges. The employee acknowledges and supports the educational, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of those served. This position is supervised by the Principal.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules and participates in multidisciplinary educational team meetings, IEP meetings, and other education team meetings as the designated LEA. Coordinates prospective student intakes by facilitating the intake process, conducting family meetings, assessing program fit, and coordinating admission decisions. Serves as the primary liaison between school administration and transportation providers to ensure safe, compliant student transportation, including coordination of Durand bus aides as needed. Facilitates monthly parent education and support groups to address family needs and strengthen school-home partnerships. Provides case management for assigned students, including communication with families and sending districts, and support navigating healthcare and service systems. Trains and supports implementation of school-wide crisis intervention protocols. Develops and maintains family resource networks, including medical providers, ABA services, and extracurricular programs; coordinates website updates with marketing. Provides monthly social skills group lessons for students. Develops quarterly support services newsletter content for the Durand school newsletter and submits to the Director. Maintains professional and cooperative relationships with auxiliary support staff, including clinical staff, therapists, and nursing staff. Cooperates with DOE and Durand personnel during inspections, inquiries, and investigations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have
NJ Certification:
School Social Worker Standard or Provisional Certificate. Two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is
REQUIRED.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
