Under supervision, this position provides Respite Services for children or adolescents experiencing Serious Emotional/Neurobiological/Behavioral Disorders. The focus is on improving quality of life and supporting independent functioning while strengthening, supporting, and preserving families. Services are individualized and delivered collaboratively in an out-patient setting to promote safety, well-being, and overall progress while providing caregivers with time-limited temporary relief from the ongoing responsibility of care.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus six (6) months of experience in human services or child / adolescent programs; OR AA degree in a related human service field (related college degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Family Studies and Human Services); OR BA in any field. Experience in human services or child / adolescent programs strongly preferred. Bilingual (English / Spanish) or (English / Navajo) preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire. Certifications must meet the requirements listed in the document "
BLS / CPR / ACLS
& First Aid Training Resources" posted on Staurolite. It is your responsibility to keep your certifications current at all times.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
This position requires successful completion of an initial post-offer of employment: According to PMS Human Resources Policy 205.006, "Healthcare Personnel Testing & Immunization Requirements," this position must comply with required testing and immunizations. Testing and immunizations including TB, Hepatitis B (consent or waiver), Tdap, MMR, and Varicella, will be available at the employee's PMS health center. Influenza vaccines will be required according to dates set by the CDC and NMDOH. Criminal Records Check. $500 EMPLOYEE
