Open Until Filled Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? Join our team as a Developmental Specialist and become the primary point of coordination for the individuals we serve. In this role, you will partner with families and caregivers to support the growth and development of infants and toddlers through comprehensive developmental assessments, individualized planning, and evidence-based intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments and evaluations in accordance with DODD standards. Develop personalized outcome strategies to be included in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) that promote skill building across all developmental areas through play and functional activities integrated into everyday routines. Utilize coaching techniques and adult learning styles to enhance families' and caregivers' capacities, enabling them to confidently and competently implement IFSP strategies to help the child reach their full potential. Participate in conferences with family members, service providers, and community agencies to discuss child progress and planning. Collaborate with outside agencies and professionals by attending meetings, therapy sessions, doctor and clinical visits to support families and facilitate communication. Support the transition process for children turning 3 years old and exiting the early intervention program as requested by the family. Complete appropriate and timely documentation and reports, both written and via computer-based applications. Attend required meetings and trainings to obtain and maintain necessary credentials, including completion of annual training. Perform other related duties as assigned. Why Join Us?

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in education, health, social or behavioral science, social services, human services, or other related field from an accredited college or university; OR Bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in any field from an accredited college or university and at least two years of verified full-time (or equivalent part-time), supervised, paid experience working with children birth through age five with disabilities, developmental delays, or diagnosed physical or mental conditions with a high probability of resulting in developmental delay and their families; OR Bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in any field from an accredited college or university and holds a valid license in one of the following areas: counseling; early childhood education (ages 3-8); grades kindergarten through third; special education; hearing impairment intervention; medicine; nursing; occupational therapy; physical therapy; psychology; psychiatry; social work; speech-language pathology; or visual impairment intervention. Must be eligible for Ohio Department of Children and Youth certification per OAC 5123-10-05 and maintain certification after employment. Valid driver's license with access to ongoing personal transportation or ability to independently travel to locations of services in the homes and communities of children.
