Part-Time Family Support / Community Buddy - Lewis Center, OH A caring family in Lewis Center is seeking a kind, patient, and engaging support person for their 10-year-old autistic son. He is well-behaved, friendly, and a joy to be around. We're hoping to find someone who can be a positive "buddy," supporting him as he builds social skills, confidence, and meaningful connections in the community.
Schedule:
Weekday evenings: 4:00-7:30 PM Occasional Saturday or Sunday hours (flexible) What the

Engaging him in community outings and activities Supporting social interaction and communication in natural settings Taking him swimming and participating in fun, age-appropriate activities Encouraging independence through play and shared experiences Providing calm, consistent, and respectful support
About Him:
Friendly, gentle, and cooperative Enjoys reading, sensory toys, and hands-on activities Thrives with positive encouragement and clear routines
Who We're Looking For:
Someone warm, reliable, and patient Experience with children and/or autism is a plus (but not required for the right person) Comfortable being active and engaging in the community A genuine interest in building a trusting, supportive relationship This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, values inclusion, and wants to make a meaningful difference in a child's daily life.
