ODRC•Correctional Facility Job Summary The Behavioral Healthcare Provider is responsible for delivering comprehensive behavioral health services to incarcerated individuals as part of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team. This role provides mental health assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, case management, treatment planning, discharge planning, and coordination of behavioral health services while ensuring compliance with professional licensing standards, ODRC policies, and evidence-based clinical practices. Key Responsibilities Provide behavioral health interventions and case management services for an assigned caseload of mentally ill offenders. Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings, psychosocial assessments, suicide risk assessments, and crisis evaluations within the scope of licensure and ODRC policies. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized mental health treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Facilitate individual counseling, group therapy, and psychosocial interventions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Monitor patient progress toward treatment goals and modify interventions as clinically appropriate. Complete psychosocial needs assessments, transfer summaries, discharge plans, and continuity of care documentation. Coordinate mental health services with psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, correctional personnel, and other healthcare professionals. Serve as a mental health liaison by communicating with institutional staff, family members, community agencies, and referral providers to support continuity of care and successful community reintegration. Make appropriate referrals for community-based behavioral health, substance abuse, and supportive services following discharge. Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation, progress notes, clinical reports, discharge summaries, and required behavioral health records in accordance with facility policies. Participate in clinical supervision, interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, staff conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and case reviews. Attend mandatory in-service training, continuing education, and professional development activities to maintain clinical competency. Perform additional behavioral health duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Active Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, substance use treatment, crisis intervention, or case management. Knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, suicide risk assessment, psychosocial interventions, and behavioral health documentation. Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. #non
