Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide support and intervention services to individuals and families facing complex social challenges. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need while working within a collaborative and supportive environment. Flexible hours and a hybrid work schedule (after the probationary period ) make this position great for those with families! Duties Investigate claims of abuse and neglect of children and families Maintain caseload of families that have been determined to require the protective assistance of the agency Take initial complaints and make contact with the family Interview families and children to determine validity of allegations and complete safety and risk assessments Testify in court hearings Coordinates services and make referrals to community resources Transports children and families; travels to foster homes, group homes, and residential facilities as needed Serve as an on-call worker in rotation for after hours needs See full position description in posting at https://www.co.wyandot.oh.us/349/Job-Openings Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field (i.e. criminal justice, education, or communications) Ability to obtain a Bachelor's degree no later than 5 years after the start of employment with the agency Associates degree in human services related studies Been employed for at least 5 years in a human service related occupation.
