After School Care Worker Holy Trinity Lutheran Church & School Edmond, OK Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 23 hours ago Full Job Description The After-Care Worker provides safe, engaging, and structured supervision for students in Holy Trinity's after-care program. This role requires a caring and reliable individual who enjoys working with children and can create a positive, supportive environment that aligns with Holy Trinity's values. The After-Care Worker assists with daily activities, monitors students' well-being, and supports a smooth transition from the school day to after-care hours.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 3:15 PM - 5:45 PM (when school is in session)
Responsibilities:
Student Supervision and Safety:
Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Maintain clear visibility of students at all times and enforce program rules to promote a safe environment. Manage student behavior in a positive, encouraging manner, following Holy Trinity's guidelines and values.
Activity Support and Engagement:
Assist in organizing and facilitating activities, games, and crafts that engage students and support their development. Support students with homework, projects, or other activities as needed.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents, offering daily updates on student progress and any notable incidents. Report any safety concerns, incidents, or student issues to the After-Care Coordinator. Collaborate with other after-care staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and patient approach. Ability to manage small groups of students safely and effectively. Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to the hours outlined.
