Position:
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Hourly Advocate serving youth and families throughout Florence and La Grande Area is available. We are looking for individuals with experience working with youth, preferably in juvenile justice, mentoring, behavioral support, education, or social services. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to compete accurate and timely documentation. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources. Experience working with at-risk youth and youth involved in the juvenile justice system is a plus. Applicants should be comfortable using computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus. Efficient written and verbal communication skills. Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage. Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
