Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students by providing vital support within a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with students as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or School-Based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), addressing academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. The position is part-time with a possibility of increasing to full-time, running through June 2027, and features a collaborative setting in a specialized program focused on student well-being.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
8:30 AM - 1:00
PM Tuesday, Thursday:
10:00 AM - 2:30
PM Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Certification Full credentials as either a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Direct experience in school-based social work or counseling roles Strong interpersonal communication and case management skills Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' overall well-being
Responsibilities:
Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to students Develop and implement individualized support plans Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to monitor progress and coordinate care Maintain accurate documentation and participate in student support meetings Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe school climate In this role, you will have the flexibility to make a meaningful difference within a supportive program.
