Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Empower students and support families as a dedicated school social worker for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact on the lives of young learners (grades K-3), addressing their emotional and social needs as they navigate their formative school years. You'll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive. To excel in this role, you should bring: A Master's degree in Social Work An active LSW or LCSW license (required) Proven school-based experience (required) A passion for supporting elementary-aged children Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families Problem-solving abilities and a compassionate, student-centered approach In this role, you will: Provide social and emotional support to students in grades K-3 Develop and implement effective interventions tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to facilitate student success Conduct assessments and develop action plans for at-risk students Lead or participate in student support teams and multi-disciplinary meetings Serve as an advocate, connecting families to essential school and community resources This contract position runs through June 2027, offering 35-40 hours per week. You'll have the satisfaction of continuous professional engagement throughout the academic year. Compensation for this role ranges from $40 to $52 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
