Job Description

PADREs (Parenting Awareness and Drug Risk Education Program) is seeking a team member to conduct educational support groups for participants enrolled who are pregnant and/or parents with children under the age of six. Case Management is a requirement and includes weekly phone calls, referrals to local services, reinforcement of educational material provided in group and updates to referral sources. Alternative activities are conducted with participants including opportunities to encourage parent/child bonding. Timeliness and being punctual to all groups, meetings and daily functions is essential. Communication with team members and functioning as a department is required. Applicants must be energetic and possess an ability to lead education groups, speak in public, develop and maintain community partners that serve as a referral source, possess computer skills for completing required paperwork and facilitating virtual services, offer case management to participants, ability to work with participants and families during life crisis, travel is required as well as an ability to get along with and work with others. Night and weekend work is required. Summary As a Family Educator for PADRES, you will be instrumental in supporting families through child welfare initiatives and social work practices. Reporting to the program director, your role involves case management and crisis intervention, utilizing your core skills to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Your premium skills in child protective services and experience with children will enhance your effectiveness in this position. Additionally, your relevant skills in conflict management and behavioral health will contribute to fostering strong family dynamics and promoting positive outcomes within the community. Responsibilities Provide support and education to families regarding child welfare and social work practices. Conduct case management and crisis intervention to address family needs. Collaborate with child protective services to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Utilize conflict management and behavioral health strategies to resolve family issues. Maintain accurate records and documentation using computer skills for effective case tracking. Engage with families to promote understanding of family law and available resources.

$38,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
