Temporary Enrollment & Family Welcome Coordinator Des Moines, WA | $25.00/hour | Approximately 30 hours per week Pathways Families Thrive is preparing to open our new early learning center in Des Moines, Washington, and we are looking for a warm, trustworthy, dependable, and family-friendly person to help us welcome prospective children and families into our program. This is a unique short-term opportunity for someone who loves early childhood education, enjoys meeting families, and would like to help a new childcare center prepare for its opening. What Will You Do? You will be one of the first friendly faces families meet when they visit Pathways Families Thrive. We will personally teach you about our program so that you feel comfortable and confident helping prospective families learn more about us.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming parents and families into the center Giving tours of our beautiful early learning facility Sharing basic information about our programs and services Answering common parent questions Providing enrollment packets, flyers, and program materials Gathering contact information from families interested in enrolling Keeping track of tours and prospective family inquiries Answering the center phone and taking messages when needed Helping keep the center clean, organized, inviting, and ready for tours Assisting with setting up and taking down materials throughout the facility Helping prepare the center for children and families Referring questions to leadership when additional information is needed Who Would Be a Great Fit? You may be a great fit if you: Enjoy meeting and talking with families Have some experience or knowledge of early childhood education Are comfortable giving tours and explaining information Communicate clearly and professionally Can learn a program quickly Work well independently Pay attention to details Take pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment Understand the importance of confidentiality Are someone others can rely on Experience in childcare, preschool, ECEAP, Head Start, family childcare, family support, customer service, enrollment, reception, or community outreach is especially welcomed. Schedule This is a temporary assignment anticipated to last approximately three weeks . Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Generally, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Approximately 30 paid hours per week . Compensation $25.00 per hour Minimum Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be able to successfully meet applicable Washington State/DCYF background-check requirements Have some knowledge or experience related to early childhood education, children, or families Be dependable and available during the temporary assignment Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and confidentiality This May Be Perfect for You If… You are an early childhood professional between positions.
