ECEAP FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST / FAMILY ADVOCATE JOB OVERVIEW
College for Kids Intercultural Early Learning is seeking a bilingual ECEAP Family Support Specialist / Family Advocate to provide family support, case management, recruitment, enrollment, parent engagement, and community resource services to children and families. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.
POSITION DETAILS
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay:
$28.00-$31.00 per hour, based on education and relevant experience In-person position in Federal Way, Washington Assigned center may vary based on program needs Benefits include paid sick leave, paid vacation, and paid holidays in accordance with company policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, determine eligibility, select, and enroll eligible children and families. Maintain full enrollment through family recruitment and community outreach. Assess family strengths, needs, and available resources. Partner with families to establish goals and individualized action plans. Provide case management, referrals, and follow-up services. Orient families to ECEAP services and program requirements. Conduct home visits, family meetings, and parent engagement activities. Verify health screenings and immunization documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper records. Enter required information into program reporting systems. Follow ECEAP Performance Standards and College for Kids policies. Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities. Collaborate with families, staff, PSESD, and community agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet at least one of the following: Associate degree or higher in human services, social services, family services, or counseling; A degree in a related field with at least 30 job-related college credits; or A Family Development Certificate, completed or obtained within six months of hire when permitted by ECEAP. Provisional hire may be considered when permitted under ECEAP requirements and with an approved Professional Development Plan.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. Ability to work effectively with culturally and economically diverse families. Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and recordkeeping skills. Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all applicable
DCYF/MERIT
background check, health/TB clearance, and eligibility requirements. First Aid/CPR and Food Worker Card within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance. Availability for home visits, travel between locations, and occasional evening activities. Experience with family support, case management, early childhood programs, or community outreach is helpful. Previous experience with ECEAP, ERSEA, or ChildPlus is a plus but is not required. Training will be provided.
