This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, working independently, staying organized, and creating nutritious and kid-friendly meals for our school community. What You'll Do Plan and develop weekly lunch menus Order food and kitchen supplies within an established budget Maintain inventory and communicate when supplies need to be replenished Prepare and cook meals for approximately 20-80 students per day Prepare meals while following food safety and school nutrition guidelines Accommodate documented student food allergies and dietary needs Serve and coordinate lunch service Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming kitchen Wash dishes and sanitize food-preparation and serving areas Properly store food and follow appropriate food temperatures and safety procedures Track food usage and help manage the lunch budget Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a smooth daily lunch experience Create a positive and welcoming environment for students during lunch What We're Looking For Previous cooking, food service, or kitchen experience preferred Food Handler's Permit required or willingness to obtain one Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to independently plan, prepare, and execute meals Comfortable cooking for groups of children Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced school environment Friendly, patient, and professional with students and staff Schedule & Compensation $25/hour 12-15 hours per week 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Monday-Thursday + every other Friday School-provided kitchen equipment

Education:
GED or higher Valid Driver's License Background check Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
