Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral care within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing established clinical standards such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and other modalities tailored to client needs. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health interventions for conditions such as PTSD, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health issues. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; ensure all clinical documentation meets standards for medical social work and behavioral health. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, medical professionals, educators, and community agencies—to coordinate patient care plans effectively. Engage in case management activities such as patient assessment, resource linkage, discharge planning, and follow-up care to promote optimal health outcomes. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to mental health interventions, addiction counseling, or developmental disabilities to contribute to evidence-based practice advancements. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders within home or community settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, psychiatric patient care protocols, CPT coding procedures, ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9), and medical documentation requirements. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate data collection and clinical recordkeeping; understanding of clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA is essential. Excellent skills in crisis intervention management and trauma-informed care approaches for patients experiencing PTSD or other acute mental health crises. Ability to deliver culturally competent services to diverse populations while maintaining sensitivity to individual backgrounds and needs. Competence in conducting mental health assessments for diagnostic purposes; experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous.
