REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Social Worker, School LSW-IL Graduate-level degree in Social Work, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Active Social Work license in state of residence Required number of supervised work hours Clear, articulate communication skills Ability to develop strategies and make referrals for a diverse population Completion of a criminal record and background check Professional Educator License IL School Social Worker (238) test Internship experience of at least 600 contact hours in a school setting The graduate school of social work must be accredited by the Council on Social Work Education 400 hours of field experience supervised by field instructor holding a master's or higher degree in social work
