Social Worker (NE) - Clinical - LCSW/LICSW

Job Description

As a supplemental clinical social worker, you will conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention and short-term psychotherapy and provide education for patients and their families.
Additional responsibilities include:
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external support systems Participating in the development and implementation of the treatment/transition plan Functioning as an interdisciplinary team member within the research, practice, and education shields at Mayo Clinic Complying with standards for medical/legal responsibilities and serving as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the section of Social Work and the Department of Nursing This position includes specified billable patient contact hours. •This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic

participate in the
F-1 STEM OPT
extension program. To be considered for this position, you must have a Master of Social Work degree and two years' supervised therapy experience in behavioral health and/or medical social work including diagnostic assessment, individual, group, and family therapy. Licensure Licensure to practice independently at the clinical level as required by applicable Minnesota state requirements ( LCSW, LICSW ) Additional Qualifications Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group and family therapy Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnoses and chronic disease Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patients' family members, multi-disciplinary team, community agencies, and other resources Psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form Application Requirements All required documents must be attached to your application for consideration: CV/Resume Cover Letter Internal candidates must also attach their three most recent performance appraisals. International Degrees A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree. Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) ( www.naces.org ) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) ( www.aice-eval.org ).
