Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to formulate tailored treatment plans that address individual needs and goals. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindfulness practices, ensuring each client receives the most effective care. Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of patient information. Collaborate with a dedicated treatment team consisting of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide a well-rounded approach to each patient's care plan. Educate and empower patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies suitable for their unique circumstances. Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and therapies to continuously enhance service delivery and client outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on individuals facing complex emotional and psychological challenges in a hospice context. This role is particularly suited to those experienced with end-of-life issues and who can provide compassionate care to patients and their families, guiding them through the grieving process while offering life-affirming support. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong foundation in social work principles and practices. A valid LCSW license in Virginia is required to practice independently. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is needed, demonstrating competence in individual counseling and family dynamics. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in a variety of psychotherapy techniques that are evidence-based and result-oriented. A commitment to maintaining professionalism while navigating sensitive topics with grace and empathy. Preferred Experience Experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly hospice, is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure smooth management and documentation of client files. Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds. Compensation and Benefits A competitive salary range of
USD 80,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
