Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans Deliver individual, group, child & family counseling, and youth therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and ethical guidelines Facilitate intake assessments via telehealth or in-person settings, ensuring comprehensive patient evaluation and appropriate case management Maintain detailed medical records, clinical documentation, and progress notes in EMR/EHR systems following HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate holistic care for clients with co-occurring disorders or disabilities Engage in ongoing research and data collection to support evidence-based practice improvements and clinical research initiatives Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with developmental disabilities Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or behavior therapy Experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), chronic pain conditions or co-occurring disorders Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment and treatment planning Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt counseling techniques for virtual platforms while maintaining engagement and confidentiality Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines essential for maintaining patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills for client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings highly desirable Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and cultural competence Join us in delivering impactful mental health services that truly transform lives!
