Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring client safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, and patient care protocols. Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and behavior management for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining high-quality clinical documentation within EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, conduct social work assessments, and support clients' overall well-being across inpatient and outpatient settings. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-focused therapies tailored for diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and medical recordkeeping. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, intake procedures, patient assessment, and clinical research documentation. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms, HIPAA compliance standards, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for seamless service delivery. Ability to work effectively with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, and those experiencing gender issues or grief-related concerns. Demonstrated competence in case management practices involving outpatient care, inpatient experience, special education collaboration, and behavioral health interventions.
