$33/hour Join a Growing Behavioral Health Team Are you a licensed therapist looking for meaningful clinical work without an overwhelming full-time schedule? Samaria Behavioral Health Center is looking for a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team in Tempe. This position will initially be approximately 2 days per week , with the opportunity to increase hours as your caseload grows. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys working collaboratively, values quality patient care, and is comfortable treating adults with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Our clinic provides outpatient psychiatric care, individual and group therapy, substance use treatment, medication-assisted treatment, case management, and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP). What You'll Do As a Therapist, you will provide psychotherapy and clinical services to patients experiencing moderate to chronic mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
Responsibilities include:
Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based counseling approaches Facilitate approximately 3-6 hours of group therapy per week , depending on program needs and schedule Provide family therapy when clinically appropriate Complete biopsychosocial assessments Develop individualized treatment plans and update them as patient needs and goals change Complete progress notes and other clinical documentation in a timely manner Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with case management when appropriate Complete discharge summaries Assess depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, relapse risk, and other behavioral health concerns Identify patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies, including suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, psychosis, or significant clinical deterioration Provide crisis assessment and intervention when clinically indicated Coordinate with psychiatric providers regarding complex patient needs Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation Help patients develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, relapse-prevention skills, and healthier behavioral patterns Coordinate care with referral sources and community providers when appropriate Maintain accurate clinical documentation consistent with professional, payer, and regulatory requirements Assist with utilization review documentation and treatment updates when needed Participate in staff meetings, clinical consultation, and continuing professional development Who We're Looking For Required Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field Current Arizona license in good standing as an: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Strong clinical assessment and psychotherapy skills Experience providing individual and/or group therapy Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to psychiatric crises Strong written clinical documentation skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a treatment team Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Must be able to reliably commute to Tempe, AZ 85283 Preferred Experience We would especially like to hear from clinicians with experience in one or more of the following: Outpatient behavioral health Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) Substance use disorder treatment Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Group psychotherapy Crisis assessment and intervention Trauma-informed care CBT DBT Motivational Interviewing Relapse prevention Family therapy AHCCCS/Medicaid behavioral health documentation Community behavioral health Integrated psychiatric and behavioral health settings The Clinician Who Will Do Well Here You may be a great fit if you: Enjoy building strong therapeutic relationships Are comfortable working with complex behavioral health patients Can lead an engaging therapy group Are dependable with documentation Value teamwork and communication Can work independently without needing constant supervision Are comfortable asking questions and collaborating when needed Value accountability and professionalism Want to continue developing your clinical skills Enjoy being part of a growing practice where your work matters Schedule Part-Time Approximately 2 days per week to start , with potential to increase hours based on caseload and program growth. In person Tempe, AZ 85283 Compensation Minimum pay: $33.00 per hour This is a part-time W-2 employee position , not an independent contractor/1099 position. Compensation above the minimum may be considered based on licensure, relevant clinical experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
