Our team provides crisis prevention, emergency intervention, behavioral support, de-escalation, ongoing stabilization, and community collaboration. We respond in real time to urgent situations to help individuals maintain safety, stability, and long-term success.

Full-Time Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. Includes fieldwork, in-office work, and participation in an on-call rotation We are currently seeking a full-time individual to work on our Crisis Team. This in the field position will interface with professional providers, family members and individuals who have developmental disabilities. The position requires effective listening and emotion-situation interpretation skills, knowledge of crisis prevention counseling techniques (training will be provided), documentation/reporting skills and the ability and willingness to work in a rapid response team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Respond to crisis calls by phone or face-to-face in the community. Use non-aversive de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies. Complete crisis assessments, Safety Plans, and Coping Skills plans. Provide weekly prevention visits and ongoing behavioral support. Communicate with Regional Center Service Coordinators and support teams. Document all visits, calls, and interventions in the database. Participate in on-call rotation (must remain within the catchment area). Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, and mental health partners. Schedule & Workload Full-time with a mix of office work and fieldwork. Minimum of 120 field hours per month and 10 prevention appointments per week. Maintain a caseload of 20+ clients. Qualifications Preferred education in Psychology, Social Work or related field 1-2 years' experience (preferred) supporting or assisting people with developmental disabilities or mental health issues Experience in direct intervention with assaultive/aggressive behavior or Direct Support is a plus
Driving Record and Background Check:
Clear of all infractions Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and demonstrate strong people skills Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities Ability to multitask, stay focused in pressure situations, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
Microsoft Office, Google Workspace Verbal and/or written fluency in Spanish highly preferred; fluency in other language(s) may be preferred based on assigned region(s) and caseload Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills. ABA experience is a plus Certified drug and alcohol counselor is a plus Driving Requirements Valid drivers license Proof of motor vehicle insurance Driving Record in good standing Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles Why Join CSS?
