Description Position Overview Peaceful Harmony, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this critical role, you will provide compassionate mental health support to both individuals within the criminal justice system and community members. Your expertise will be vital in de-escalating mental health crises, developing actionable treatment plans, and facilitating necessary involuntary detentions when warranted. Work Environment In this remote role, you will interact closely with interdisciplinary teams, including law enforcement, psychiatric facilities, and community services. Our outpatient office environment blends collaborative teamwork with the flexibility of remote work. You'll engage in regular virtual meetings to share updates on patient progress and coordinate care effectively. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Communicate effectively with law enforcement officers, crisis stabilization units, hospital staff, and psychiatrists to facilitate comprehensive care for clients. Assist police in conducting mental health evaluations in the field, utilizing established criteria for 5150/5585 involuntary detention applications to ensure appropriate interventions are provided. Provide immediate, short-term crisis counseling to non-violent individuals experiencing mental health episodes, employing evidence-based strategies to stabilize situations. Accompany law enforcement personnel on mental health response calls, offering your expertise to guide interactions with affected individuals. Train law enforcement officers in effectively managing mental health crises, emphasizing de-escalation techniques to mitigate the need for force. Conduct case management by liaising with external entities, including the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, while consistently monitoring and checking in on patients. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary clientele will include arrestees and community members exhibiting signs of acute mental health distress. Your interventions will be critical in linking these individuals to suitable mental health services and support systems, promoting stabilization and recovery pathways. Qualifications A valid and active LPCC license is required. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is necessary; a Master's degree is preferred. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and a positive disposition even in high-pressure situations. Attention to detail and integrity in maintaining patient confidentiality and documentation. Preferred Experience Previous clinical experience in a psychiatric setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and mental health assessment tools. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is preferred. Experience working collaboratively with law enforcement or emergency services. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this role ranges from
USD 52,000
to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
