Our practice is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians can focus on providing excellent client care while receiving the administrative and practice support needed to maintain a sustainable caseload. Position Overview Bay Tree Therapy Group is seeking an experienced, independently licensed therapist (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) to join our team in a fully in-person position at our Pleasanton office . We are looking for a clinician who is confident working independently, has strong clinical judgment, and has prior experience providing psychotherapy to a range of clients and presenting concerns. Because our practice serves clients across the lifespan, experience and comfort working with children and adolescents is required . The ideal candidate is warm, professional, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Candidates should be comfortable managing their own clinical caseload while collaborating with other members of the Bay Tree Therapy Group team when appropriate. This is a fully in-person position and is not a remote or hybrid role. Bay Tree Therapy Group provides marketing, client referrals, and intake support , allowing clinicians to focus primarily on providing excellent clinical care. Key Responsibilities Provide in-person individual, couples, and family therapy to clients with a variety of presenting concerns. Provide therapy to clients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals. Utilize evidence-based and clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions. Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate progress notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. Independently manage clinical responsibilities and maintain a consistent caseload. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, physicians, schools, and other professionals when clinically appropriate and authorized by the client. Assess and respond appropriately to safety concerns and provide crisis intervention, referrals, or coordination with higher levels of care when necessary. Maintain compliance with California law, BBS regulations, professional ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, and Bay Tree Therapy Group policies. Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices in the mental health field. Qualifications Education Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related clinical field. Licensure Current and unrestricted California licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Applicants must be independently licensed. This position is not open to associate-level clinicians. Experience Prior professional experience providing psychotherapy is required. Experience working with children and adolescents is required. Experience providing individual therapy is required; experience providing couples and/or family therapy is highly valued. Experience working with a diverse client population and a variety of presenting concerns. Previous experience in a private practice or group practice setting is preferred. Compensation & Benefits Client Referrals & Marketing Bay Tree Therapy Group manages marketing and client acquisition and provides referrals to help clinicians develop and maintain their caseload. Competitive Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, training, and caseload, with opportunities for additional compensation based on applicable responsibilities and practice needs. Paid Administrative Time Clinicians receive paid administrative time based on their clinical workload to support responsibilities such as documentation and treatment planning. License Renewal Reimbursement Bay Tree Therapy Group reimburses eligible professional license renewal fees. Continuing Education Stipend Clinicians receive an annual continuing education stipend to support ongoing professional development and clinical training. Professional Liability Insurance Employees are covered under Bay Tree Therapy Group's group professional liability insurance policy for services provided through the practice. Administrative Support Marketing, referrals, intake coordination, and practice infrastructure are provided so clinicians can spend more of their time focused on client care. Work Environment This position is fully in person at our Pleasanton, California office .
