W2 Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

Overview Next Breath Psychology is a growing practice located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We are looking for a motivated licensed counseling professional to join our team. This position welcomes the practice of any theoretical orientation, as long as it is evidence-based and can provide clinical rationalization of treatment decisions.
Responsibilities :
  • Provide individual and couples counseling sessions via in-person and teletherapy with the opportunity for development into leadership and supervisor roles
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide counseling specific to the needs of diverse populations in an open and accepting manner. This includes ethnic diversity, neurodiversity, and non-gender conforming individuals
  • Monitor client progress and treatment outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with clinical research and incorporate new findings into practice
  • Malpractice Insurance is required.
We will provide assistance to obtain if not already covered
Required Experience:
  • Must hold a valid CO license or be in the process of getting licensed in CO if relocating
  • 2 to 3 years minimum experience
  • Proficient with writing progress notes and the creation of treatment plans
  • Knowledge of new trends in clinical practice and familiarity with neurodiversity preferred
  • Existing knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
  • Trained and certified in EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, etc.
Opportunities :
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and gain familiarity with psychopharmacological interventions and care
  • Collaborate with clinical psychologists and gain familiarity with diagnostic evaluations and case conceptualizations based on formal neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations
