POSITION SUMMARY

The IOP/PHP Group Therapist provides quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals in the mental health and chemical dependency outpatient program, Maintains accurate program and patient documentation, including medical records, develops and implements a plan of treatment, in conjunction with members of multi-disciplinary team, conducts groups, communicates with referral sources and other appropriate parties regarding patients' progress, and coordinates patients' discharge planning and implementation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to provide care to varied populations including adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

REQUIREMENTS

Education /

Experience:

Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field is required, and licensure. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient group setting.

Additional Requirements:

CPR certification within 30 days of employment and successful completion of training in Handle with Care. Certification training may be obtained during new hire orientation. Licensure /
