Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive mental health services within an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and adjustment. The counselor will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting clients across diverse populations, i adults with co-occurring disorders. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused interventions. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, or community settings. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with clinical guidelines, ICD coding updates, and emerging therapeutic modalities. Proficiency in crisis management techniques for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies or co-occurring disorders. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy within electronic health record systems.
