Job Description

The Ahfachkee School is part of the Seminole Tribe of Florida has about 200 students between all the K-12 grade levels so we offer small class sizes, traditional culture preservation, and plenty of resources! We follow Florida standards for the curriculum however we fall under the Bureau of Indian Education so we're not part of the county. The staff schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.

This is not in the main city of Clewiston, rather 45 minute drive south. It is about a 45 minute drive east of Immokalee. Coming from Weston it would be about a 55 minute drive to the west on I-75. We do provide a fuel stipend if you live more than 40 miles away. Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for providing behavioral support, social-emotional learning, and early mental health intervention services for students in grades K-12. The individual works collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, tribal departments, and community partners to promote positive behavior, improve student well-being, and support academic success. This role focuses on prevention, intervention, behavior management, mentoring, crisis support, and connecting students and families with appropriate mental health resources. This position supports a safe, culturally responsive, and learning environment while honoring the traditions and values of the Tribal community. This position is classified as an Admin-52, which requires a 52-week work period (approximately 12 months), paid across a 52-week (12-month) pay cycle.
Qualifications / Requirements
Master's Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Mental Health, Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Criminal Justice or Education with coursework in behavior or mental health is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with children or adolescents in a school, counseling, youth services, behavioral health, or related setting, is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community-based treatment. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
