Job Description

Mental Health Comprehensive Services (MHCS) is a thriving private practice and community based mental health agency for adults, children and families in the Metro Atlanta area. We are currently seeking a independently fully licensed clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) to provide therapeutic services to those with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Services include clinical assessments, treatment planning, safety planning, individual, family and group therapy as well as crisis prevention. We offer a diverse client base and referrals to help build your caseload. This position is a contract position. •Therapists are temporarily working remotely, providing telehealth counseling services.•
Qualifications:
Licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW to practice independently in the State of Georgia. Applicants must have 1 - 2 years of post- licensure experience and in good standing in the State of Georgia. Must be credentialed/paneled with major insurance companies (e.g., Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield United/Optum, Cigna, , Humana/Tricare,) and EAPs. Must demonstrate the capacity to understand individuals with severe emotional disturbance with a variety of problems and to develop further knowledge and skills for working with youth and adults in an outpatient setting Must be able to withstand the work and pressures of treating individuals with severe emotional disturbance with a variety of problems in numerous settings such as individual and group counseling, crisis situations, etc. Must be available and willing to handle crisis situations outside normal office hours Must have organizational abilities and detail orientation sufficient to organize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner - within established deadlines Must have an understanding of computer technology sufficient to make effective use of technology to complete tasks, with emphasis on utilizing MS Office and other Windows Based programs for this purpose Basic knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices in the field of case management. Ability to organize and manage work load with limited supervision. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with professional staff, local officials and the general public Experience providing direct care in the mental health or social service field Knowledge of diagnoses Strong interpersonal skills Great follow-up and organization skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Team-oriented Friendly personality Able to work a flexible schedule Intermediate proficiency with the internet,
Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows Contract Length:
