Mental Health Therapist/Counselor Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care and support to individuals dealing with various mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients to improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct direct support and counseling sessions with clients to address their mental health needs
• Offer grief counseling and support to individuals experiencing loss or trauma
• Provide specialized care for geriatric clients facing mental health issues
• Implement behavior management techniques to assist clients in coping with emotional difficulties
• Utilize coding, DSM 5 and ICD-9 knowledge for accurate documentation and billing purposes
• Conduct mental health counseling sessions using evidence-based practices
• Engage in research activities to enhance therapeutic interventions and treatment outcomes
• Perform data collection and analysis to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individuals with developmental disabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Prefered Licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of practice
• Proven experience in providing mental health therapy services
• Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and interventions
• Familiarity with DSM-5 , ICD-9, and data collection practices
• Ability to work effectively with individuals across diverse populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients' needs
