At Prairie View, we believe that helping individuals and families heal requires a strong, integrated village. We are expanding our clinical team and hiring for full-time and part-time clinicians and substance use counselors across multiple practice settings in Newton, McPherson, Hillsboro, and Peabody. Whether your clinical passion lies in addiction counseling, school-based youth support, specialized adult care, or general outpatient therapy, we have a place for you to thrive.
Available Clinical Practice Settings:
Addiction & Substance Use Counselor (McPherson): Provide specialized assessment, individual therapy, and group counseling for clients navigating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions at our McPherson location. School-Based Clinicians (Full-Time): Work directly within local school environments (elementary, middle, and high schools) to provide on-site diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, and family support. Youth & Family Outpatient Clinicians (Full-Time): Provide evidence-based outpatient psychotherapy and family-systems care to children, adolescents, and young adults alongside a supportive wraparound team. Adult & Long-Term Care Outpatient Clinicians (Part-Time): Deliver on-site behavioral health evaluations and therapy for adults and seniors in specialized residential and community care settings in Peabody/Hillsboro. General Outpatient Clinicians (Full-Time - Newton): Provide comprehensive outpatient therapy, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning for a diverse caseload in our main Newton outpatient facility.
What You'll Do Direct Clinical Care:
Conduct diagnostic evaluations, substance use assessments, intakes, and individualized treatment planning utilizing evidence-based modalities.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide high-quality individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the client's clinical and recovery needs.
Collaborative Support:
Work side-by-side with Prairie View case managers, prescribers, school staff, medical teams, and community partners to deliver holistic care.
Documentation & Quality:
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with progress notes and evaluations completed within 48 business hours.
What You Bring Education & Licensure:
Active Kansas licensure as an
LAC, LCAC
, LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, LMLP, LPC, PsyD, or PhD. (Candidates actively working toward independent clinical licensure are encouraged to apply!)
Clinical Experience:
Practicum, internship, or professional experience in mental health counseling, addiction treatment, or dual-diagnosis care.
Core Competencies:
Strong diagnostic intuition, excellent communication skills, and comfort navigating Electronic Health Record systems.
Clearances:
Ability to obtain clinical privileges and clear required background screenings (KBI, Central Registry, and DCF). Why Choose Prairie View?
