LATE NIGHT BHP II
Ellsworth, ME Direct Client/Patient Care Full Time , Primarily Nights with weekends/OT as needed Req # 39854 As a supportive counselor, the Late Night BHP II provides intensive supervision and direction to emotionally and behaviorally challenged children, adolescents and young adults in a compassionate and respectful manner. This position requires an unwavering commitment to safety and the ability to continuously assess and manage ongoing developments and concerns of client care. The Late Night BHP II is responsible to implement individualized treatment and milieu programming, in the context of trusting and supportive relationships with clients.Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in mental health or related field preferred. Some experience with acute emotionally challenged clients preferred. If working in ASD program, experience serving ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorders) population is preferred.Job Duties:
Safety:
Ensure a safe and secure environment. Act immediately to remove all dangers or threats to the welfare of clients.Supervision:
Supervise clients. Oversee daily routines; know the whereabouts of all clients in care; ensure performance of daily self care tasks and assist clients as needed. Provide minor first aid treatment as necessary.Counseling:
Provide individual counseling as needed.Treatment planning and assessment:
Participate in the planning and implementation of individualized treatment plans as well as daily treatment schedules in accordance with House/Module programming.Communication:
Communicate all relevant client information obtained by daily supervision to appropriate treatment team members in a timely manner.Collaboration:
Demonstrate active participation in at least one KP workgroup, task force, provide trainings, etc.Proficiency:
Completion of all required documentation, medication administration without mentor oversight, transportation and supervision of clients during off-campus excursions, and increase awareness of the Rights of Recipients.Participation:
Active participation during Clinical Supervision.Adherence:
