Job Summary This post will fill up to two (2) vacancies . As a Substance Use Therapist, you will provide direct licensed therapeutic programming to clients in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. You will perform all aspects of program content independently, including assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training, security, and professional standards, as well as lead work functions as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LICSW, LP, LPCC, and LMFT) as defined by Minnesota Statute 245.462 subd. 18, clause 1-6. Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). Master's Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral science program. Two (2) years of experience providing behavioral health clinical services, including individual and group therapy Applicants meeting the above minimum qualifications will be further assessed on the following: Verbal and written communication skills, including proficient documentation skills Interpersonal and human relation skills Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan

Preferred Qualifications Experience providing lead work direction to other behavioral health staff. Experience working in a correctional/secured environment. Experience providing services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Experience providing clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff. Experience providing mental health clinical services Commitment to providing culturally competent services, with an ongoing commitment to training, development, and licensure maintenance. Physical Requirements The selected finalist is required to review and sign a Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for this position. For a copy of the PDA, please email Shelley Rojesky at shelley.rojesky@state.mn.us. This position will require Tuberculosis screening prior to hire. Additional Requirements The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation. Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records. New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
